This page explains how BugBountyScam handles report statuses, company responses, and dispute resolution.
Every report on BugBountyScam carries one of the following resolution statuses:
Any company or bug bounty program named in a report may submit an official response. Responses are displayed alongside the original report and are clearly labelled as coming from the named party. BugBountyScam does not edit company responses except to remove content that violates our Submission Terms.
To submit a response, contact us via the address on the About page and include the report URL, your company name, and verifiable contact details.
If you believe a report about your program is factually inaccurate, you may file a formal dispute. Disputes are reviewed by our editorial team. We may request supporting documentation (e.g., payment records, correspondence). If a dispute is upheld, the report status is updated to Disputed or Withdrawn as appropriate, and a note is added to the report.
Filing a dispute does not automatically remove a report. Reports are only removed where required by law or where the original submitter withdraws the report voluntarily.
When a company claims an issue has been resolved, we attempt to contact the original submitter (where contact details were provided) to confirm. If the submitter confirms resolution, the status is updated to Resolved. If we cannot reach the submitter within 30 days, the status is set to Resolved — Unconfirmed.
Submitters may attach evidence (screenshots, correspondence excerpts) at the time of submission. Evidence is stored privately and reviewed by our team. Sensitive personal information is redacted before any evidence is referenced publicly. Evidence is not published verbatim without submitter consent.
[NEEDS ATTORNEY REVIEW] BugBountyScam will comply with valid legal removal requests as required by applicable law. We evaluate each request individually. Removal under legal process is logged and the report is marked Removed — Legal rather than silently deleted, so the public record reflects that a report existed.
Submitters or named companies who disagree with a status decision may appeal by contacting us. Appeals are reviewed by a second editor. Decisions on appeals are final.
This policy may be updated. Material changes will be noted on the About page.
